Hello From Bangladesh

This September, Executive Director Sharon Allen and Executive Chairman Yulun Wang traveled to Bangladesh to jumpstart our new virtual clinic at a field hospital inside the Rohingya refugee camp. This project is in partnership with HOPE Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh, founded by Dr. Iftikher Mahmood.

The new telehealth device is arriving this month to further expand care to the population of nearly one million refugees. Our first program in Bangladesh is at HOPE Hospital in Cox’s Bazar, which is adjacent to the refugee camp. However, it is often difficult for the refugees to reach the clinic outside the camp, especially during monsoon season when roads are flooded. Our new virtual clinic at the field hospital inside the Rohingya refugee camp will address this challenge.
