About World Telehealth Initiative’s Platform
Our international network of volunteer physicians provides advanced training, clinical support, and collaboration opportunities for clinicians in underserved regions via telehealth. The WTI platform is key to harnessing a substantial pool of physicians and connecting them with resource-constrained clinics and hospitals.
The custom platform that we are building drives the efficient matching of clinical support requests from our partner sites in underserved areas to the appropriate volunteer healthcare provider that can fulfill the request. For example, a remote clinic that needs a pediatric nephrologist is connected with a physician who has the right skills, language proficiency, availability, and cultural sensitivity. Healthcare delivery becomes more efficient and impactful, resulting in a scalable solution to the global health challenge.
The platform development was led by World Telehealth Initiative team members Dave Kosmo (Director of Technology), Jorgelina Corral and Federico Soler (software engineers).
