Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital, Kampot

Program focus: Peer-to-peer training, clinical consults, emergent care

WTI’s program in Cambodia builds the skills of local healthcare providers through virtual training, lectures, mentorship, and bedside consultations. Volunteer specialists host virtual lectures and subsequent practical hands-on exams for the healthcare providers in Cambodia to test the skills and techniques they have learned.

Bedside consultations offer on-site clinicians hands-on training for treating the same conditions they learn about in lectures and trainings, while providing quality care to patients at the hospital.

The supporting physicians that teach and train the local healthcare providers in Kampot, were previously required to travel to Cambodia to conduct these classes and lectures. Telehealth enables them to support and continue teaching the local providers in Cambodia from the comfort of their own homes or offices on an ongoing basis.
