Christian McGrath

Christian McGrath moved to Santa Barbara in 2021 after serving as General Counsel and Managing Director of GTCR, a leading Chicago-based private equity firm. Prior to joining GTCR, Christian managed legal affairs for several domestic and European business units of Sara Lee Corporation.

Christian received a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School. Current and prior board affiliations include Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Choate Rosemary Hall, Lookingglass Theatre, Chicago Zoological Association, Chicago Children’s Museum, and American Investment Council.

Christian lives in Santa Barbara with his wife Angie and daughters Olivia and Lucy and stepsons Connor and Charlie.
