Kasey O'Neil - Transforming data into impact
Meet Kasey O’Neil, health scientist, data enthusiast, and foodie. As our new Director of Programs, Kasey is helping World Telehealth Initiative greatly increase our impact, build new programs, and reach many more underserved communities around the world. She was drawn to World Telehealth Initiative’s mission because of our sustainable, community-driven solution to improve healthcare access that “stands out from the rest”.
Before joining the World Telehealth Initiative team, Kasey worked as an epidemiologist and data visualization consultant in support of the COVID-19 response effort for the state of South Carolina. She also supported a wide range of public health initiatives including several large-scale global health research efforts. Her global health work has been focused on Africa, where she has worked closely with local communities in both South Africa and Uganda on HIV prevention.
Kasey’s expertise in evidence-based research, data analytics and measurement and evaluation are prized by World Telehealth Initiative. She is working to enhance and support a data-driven culture within the organization, as we continue to focus on measurement, evaluation and learning.
Kasey is upbeat, driven, and a never-ending source of new ideas. Her excitement and ultra-positive attitude are contagious, and her expertise and vision makes her a great addition to the World Telehealth Initiative team.
Fun fact about Kasey: Although she’s from New England, she isn’t a fan of cold weather. She prefers to use her bike as her primary mode of transportation whenever possible. She also enjoys trying new food with her daughter Rose.
