Meet Suyash Tiwari, World Telehealth Initiative (WTI)’s new software engineer. Suyash’s goal is to use his engineering skills to help others and make a real difference for those in need. He sees being a part of the WTI team as the perfect opportunity to do so. Suyash is working on a variety of important web-based projects for WTI, such as building a website portal for our volunteer physicians. His work supports WTI’s expansion to bring access to quality healthcare to more communities around the world.

From a young age, Suyash was always interested in engineering. His mother is an electrical engineer for airport security in Bhopal, India where he grew up. As a child, Suyash loved visiting her at work and seeing how all the computers and heavy machinery functioned. This later influenced his choice to pursue a master’s in software engineering at the University of Texas. With his dedication, attention to detail, and strong engineering skills, Suyash is a welcome addition to the WTI team.

Growing up in India, Suyash has seen many vulnerable communities that don’t have access to all the medical resources they need. This experience makes his work at WTI even more meaningful to him. When asked how he feels about working at WTI, Suyash shares that “being a part of the WTI team and seeing how people are happy to support our work has been very exciting and gratifying. We can make real a difference..I am glad to be a part of our work expanding access to healthcare globally.”
