Global impact in focus: Highlights from WTI’s Strategic Planning Meeting

Last month, our small but mighty team gathered for our annual strategic planning meeting —a time for connection, reflection, and celebration. From hearing powerful stories of impact from our partners, to setting bold goals for the future, the experience left us inspired and excited for what's ahead.

The energy and smiles were contagious as partners from around the world and board members joined to share insights and celebrate shared successes. Highlights included hearing from Dr. Reiss, a neonatologist in the Netherlands, about supporting clinicians in Nigeria to care for critical newborns. Clinicians from St. Clare’s Hospital and Longisa County Referral Hospital in Kenya inspired us with firsthand accounts of how they are caring for their community and how our collaborations have strengthened local healthcare delivery.

Reflecting on 2024, it’s remarkable to see what our dedicated team and global partners have achieved together. With the addition of new partners in Guatemala and Rwanda, our programs now span 18 countries worldwide. We also expanded support for nursing professionals, who are often the only resource for patient care in low-resource settings.

As we look ahead to 2025, we’re energized to continue advancing our matching platform with new features, expand to reach 10 more communities, develop new partnerships, refine our programs through new surveys, and much more.

Through innovation and collaboration, we’re more committed than ever to building a healthier world. To our hardworking team, global partners and community of supporters: your passion and dedication fuel our mission, and we are so grateful to have you on this journey to transform global healthcare.
