Meet the team: Amanda MacRae, Director of Advancement
Amanda MacRae has been a long-time volunteer with World Telehealth Initiative (WTI), contributing to marketing and communications projects to spread the word about our mission. In September of 2021, she furthered her commitment to WTI’s work by becoming an official part of the team as the Director of Advancement! “Being a part of WTI is very gratifying, and I feel honored to be an extension of the team delivering this incredible technology to under-resourced communities worldwide.”
When Amanda started her career working for a marketing agency focused exclusively on working with hospital and health system clients, she immediately fell in love with the compassion and complexity of the industry. From that point on, she always knew she wanted to be in a healthcare-focused company. Amanda went on to lead marketing efforts at the telehealth company InTouch Health, which was acquired by Teladoc Health in 2020.
Now as the Director of Advancement, Amanda is responsible for sharing our mission with the world. “I love knowing that WTI’s potential impact is endless, thanks to the technology and vast number of volunteer medical professionals that want to contribute to the greater good. It’s incredibly exciting to be a part of.” As with any small non-profit, Amanda wears a lot of hats, but is focused on leading the strategy around our marketing, communications, and development efforts.
With her experience in the telehealth industry, Amanda is a great asset to the WTI team. “Having worked at Teladoc Health and being a new mom of a 9-month-old, I know firsthand what a powerful tool telehealth is and that we can use it to enable quality healthcare in other parts of the world…I love being part of a team that is working to transform global healthcare. It really is inspiring.”
Fun fact about Amanda: Her favorite food on a menu is Brussels Sprouts!
