Meet the team: Dave Kosmo, our technology guru

Technology is at the heart of what we do. As our programs and global impact expand, so do the needs of our organization to keep our programs supported and operations running effectively. Meet Dave – expert software engineer, easygoing California native, and World Telehealth Initiative (WTI)’s new Director of Technology.

Dave moved to Santa Barbara as a young man to start his career in software development. He never imagined that he would use his skills to expand healthcare access on a global scale one day.

Dave is an accomplished software engineer who has designed and implemented software for thousands of businesses from the healthcare industry to the United States Postal Service. As WTI’s Director of Technology, he is taking his expertise to the nonprofit sector. “I am deeply grateful to be a part of the WTI team, and I look forward every day to contributing to the mission.”

WTI’s programs are quickly growing to reach more communities in need of quality healthcare. Dave is working to improve our efficiency and incorporate more automation in our programs. His efforts will increase our impact and enable us to support more low-resource health systems around the world.

Dave’s skills, along with his joyful, relaxed, and kind nature, make him an excellent addition to our team.

Fun fact about Dave: He has lived in Santa Barbara for 35 years with his wife and two kids. Also, his mother was the first-ever female mayor of Ventura, California, where he grew up.
