Meet our software development dream team

In early 2022, two software engineers joined the team to build incredible technology that will advance our mission. Meet the two developers—both from Argentina—who are working hard behind the scenes.

Meet Jorgelina Corral

Since she was a little girl growing up in the Patagonia mountains of Argentina, Jorgelina loved computers. “Computers were part of my life since I was a kid. It was an amazing and magical world to me.” Over the years, she discovered that she could help others with her computer skills. She quickly found her passion—using computers to advance healthcare for patients in need around the world.

Before joining the World Telehealth Initiative team, Jorgelina worked for InTouch Health, a telehealth company acquired by Teladoc Health, where she helped develop software used in hospitals worldwide. “I found an incredible value in working with the goal of helping others. It was really inspiring and rewarding work knowing that what you do every day literally saves lives.”

Jorgelina recently joined our engineering team as an experienced and talented software developer. She works to build a solid foundation for the WTI Platform and create its back-end functions. “Money is not the driver of working for any non-profit; it is the joy of working for others and knowing that what you do will soon make an impact on a lot of people.”

Fun fact about Jorgelina: She is from a city in Argentina called Bariloche on the shore of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. “Every time I need to recharge, that is my favorite place in the world.”

Meet Federico Soler

Federico is an expert software developer who was looking for an “ambitious project”. He wanted to be part of the solution to one of the world’s biggest challenges. With 50% of the world lacking access to essential health services, WTI fit his criteria perfectly. “When I heard WTI’s offer and vision, I decided to join the team very quickly.”

Federico became a software engineer because he was always interested in using technology to create solutions. In helping to build our platform, he is doing just that. The WTI Platform will use automation and technology to bring quality healthcare to every corner of the world. As a front-end software developer, Federico works to make The Platform beautiful and user-friendly. “Being able to work on a project with such an important mission is really rewarding. WTI’s ambitions are incredible and will make a significant change on a global level.”

When he isn’t working, Federico enjoys traveling. He spent a few years traveling and living in Barcelona, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. He loves traveling because each country allows him to learn something new.

Fun fact about Federico: In his free time, he loves building furniture and recently completed a set of stools for his sister.

WTI is lucky to have brilliant and driven software engineers on our team. Jorgelina and Federico’s hard work this year creates access to quality healthcare in many more underserved communities.
